NEWSLETTER JUNE 2026
Summer is here, with its endless days, early morning take-offs in calm air and late returns in the golden light. For many of us, it is also when flying truly returns to its original purpose: that of taking us to discover new horizons.
Whether it’s for a weekend getaway, a tour of our country or a more ambitious journey across Europe, the MCRs are once again preparing to cover thousands of kilometers, taking their pilots wherever their hearts desire.
Before the summer season gets into full swing, we invite you to discover some of the latest news from SE Aviation Aircraft: technical developments, updated documentation, new opportunities within our range of second-hand aircraft and, above all, the final prototype of DRIADE, whose maiden flight is approaching.
I wish you all some wonderful flights this 2026 summer, and above all, to continue enjoying this unique sense of freedom that only the sky can offer us!– Eric Fumey, CEO SE AVIATION AIRCRAFT

E-PROPS’ Glorieuse approved for the MCR 4S-916
Good news for owners and future buyers of the MCR-4S Evolution powered by the Rotax 916 iS: the Glorieuse propeller has just received approval for use with this new engin

Developed by the French manufacturer E-PROPS, this three-bladed propeller stands out for its carbon fibre construction, its particularly low weight and its highly quiet characteristics.

This approval further expands the options available to customers, who now have a wide choice of propellers from which to select the one best suited to their needs, whilst making full use of the Rotax engine’s 160 ch.

The new operating documents are now available!
The introduction of the Rotax 916 iS engine to the MCR-4S range is accompanied by a full update of the operating documents for the MCR-4S range as a whole.
The flight manual, the maintenance manual and the eligibility form are now available to download free of charge from our website.

In practical terms, these new editions incorporate the specific features of the Rotax 916 iS, the associated operating procedures, the applicable limitations and the new engine/propeller configurations. They now serve as the reference documents for the operation, technical monitoring and maintenance of all MCR-4S Evolution aircraft.
We invite all owners, amateur builders and operators to update their technical documentation by clicking this link.

The DRIADE drone is ready for its maiden flight!
The DRIADE programme continues to make progress and has just reached a new milestone: the MSN 01 prototype is now ready to take to the skies.
Over the past few weeks, all the flight systems have undergone a comprehensive ground validation programme. The tests confirmed that the various systems are functioning correctly and have allowed us to prepare with confidence for the transition to the flight phase.

Yes, the first flight is now very close! A test site has been selected and approved, but its location will remain confidential until the maiden flight has taken place. We will then be delighted to reveal more.
As a reminder, DRIADE is a M.A.L.E. drone (Medium Altitude Long Endurance) developed by the SE Aviation Group. Designed as a modular and evolutive platform, it is capable of carrying out long-duration missions thanks to an autonomy of up to 36 hours. Intended for both civil and military applications, DRIADE has been designed to carry various types of payloads whilst offering a high level of automation.

After several years of development and numerous tests carried out on its various systems, the programme is now set to experience a particularly eagerly awaited moment: its first take-off.

This summer, take control of your holidays!
With the summer season approaching, many pilots are already planning their next destinations. What if, this year, you did the same – with your own aeroplane? Or better still: with your own MCR!
Good news: several aircraft have recently joined our range of second-hand aircraft, and we invite you to discover the opportunities currently available.

Among them is the MCR Sportster No. 218, a particularly attractive aircraft.
Built in 2004, this aircraft has logged a total of 515 flight hours and is powered by a 100 ch Rotax 912 ULS engine. With an empty weight of just 261 kg, it retains all the performance qualities for which the Sportster is renowned.

Its features include, in particular, a three-bladed MT-Propeller (only 20 hours’ use), a Filser ATR 8.33 LCD radio, a Filser TRT800 LCD transponder, a BRS parachute, a Kanardia Horis display, an autopilot, a Béringer brakes system and a separate central fuel tank.
The 5-year inspection was carried out in September 2025 by SE Aviation Aircraft, allowing its future owner to look forward with confidence to many hours of flight time.
